Hello there!

Because you're here, I know that you love naturally beautiful photographs and that you're into real candid moments and you kinda can't handle when the photographer is acting like they should be the center of attention. 

I've been told that I calm people down. In a session with me I'll guide you a little for poses, but I'll shoot even more when you do your own thing. I often tell my clients "pretend like I'm not here". I love my zoom lenses. You and your lover can have your own space and I'm not intruding. Each couple is different. Some couples need more direction than others which is totally fine! I adapt to each couple. In the end I just want your personalities to shine through the photographs. 

When the session is done I take home the photos and edit them. I won't make the colors look more saturated than they are in real life. I'm all about realistic and natural photographs so if you like my photographs you must be too! This world is already beautiful! No need to make it look fake. 

As I mentioned earlier I'm a laid back calm person... most the time. I won't be thinking of ideas on how I can have be in the pictures with you. I won't be getting crazy on the dance floor at your wedding. I'm the fly on the wall that captures all those fun crazy moments! It's all about you when I'm behind my camera. It's your day, hour and moment!

not a selfie

It's about time I came up with a personal project! I've been thinking this up for a while now so now I'm going to put my thoughts into action. I can't tell you how good it feels to have photography on my mind lots and lots. My thoughts on this project were keeping me up at night. Personal projects are important for photographers. Shoot for myself.

Everyone deserves to have professional photographs of themselves at least once a year. You deserve more than a selfie.  Let someone else capture your beauty.

#carselfie A whole photoshoot taken in a car. You probably read that and thought what in the world? Well, car selfies are quite popular. Want to know why? The lighting is actually quite nice in there! It's like being surrounded in lovely soft boxes (lighting equipment). So why not do a professional shoot in a car? It doesn't have to be a cool car. A typical ordinary car will work just fine!

#selfesteem A teenager in her room. Teens take a whole lot of photo's in their room. Good light and your face are what makes up a nice photograph. Give me a room with a window and we're all set! Teenagers probably take the most selfie's out of anyone right? Being a teenager is the biggest struggle. Out of anyone they deserve having someone else see them in good light.

watercolor

My watercolor final is all mounted and ready to go. I've loved being able to learn so many new things this year! Watercolor came into my life at a perfect time and is a haven for me. It's gives me a break from my messy life and my brain gets absorbed in my messy pallet full of pigments.

Late Friday nights to the very early hours of Saturday mornings have been my painting hours this semester. They say "2 am's were made for artists". On weekends that is definitely the case. Although I still don't catch up on sleep on the weekends. Monday night as I got to relax at the yoga class I realized that I am going to be done with this semester so soon! I did it! The toughest, scheduled and tiring semester is almost over!

Summer Bucket List

My summer begins in less than two weeks! Yes, my summer does begin in basically spring. BYU-Idaho is great for that! I've already started my summer bucket list. I feel like I have to publish it somewhere in order for it to actually happen. Living in Bountiful puts my closer to all of the adventures and photo's I want to take!

High Altitude Sugar Cookies

Here is the recipe for the best sugar cookies ever. Really. Courtney said they're better than Swig's.  It's an easy recipe! I use to have a reputation for things not working out, but these always taste delicious! Spring is the perfect time to make sugar cookies! Feel free to print the recipe! Let me know how it goes. Las Vegas - Ghost Town

In September I went to Las Vegas Photoshop World with BYU-Idaho's photographic's society. It was a great learning opportunity. I loved learning from professional photographers! We went to a ghost town twice to photograph. Old rusty cars aren't really my typical subject to photograph, but my Dad loves cars so I just photographed for him. 

I made it to Paris! Ha ha. It's (Vegas) is just as stinky and almost as scummy as I thought it would be ha ha. I wouldn't care if I never had to go back again. The parts spent in the air conditioned conference with a drinking fountain were my favorite haha. I learned so much! The key things were not to get discourage, work hard, do your thing, practice and practice!
