Temporary Winter Wonderland

This could possibly be my favorite photo shoot yet! This family is awesome! They are so natural in front of the camera, I barely even posed them. All of this snow is gone now! Our timing was so lucky. I couldn't narrow down which photo's to post so I hope you enjoy them:)

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

About a year ago I used the same same title for my first snowfall photo's. I really can't believe how time really does fly when you're loving life. My goal is to be happy where I am in life. This morning I was walking home from my photography class while it was still snowing. It was just so beautiful! I was debating on whether I wanted to go to my Monet spot to photograph it with the freshly fallen snow. I've never regretted taking a picture. It's so nice that I can just drop everything to go take pictures. I'm going to enjoy being able to do this while I can! Someday I'll have a family of my own and I won't be able to just drop everything to go take pictures for over an hour. For now I will just enjoy my fun college years. I still look forward to the day that I can take photographs of my own kids in the fields of snow. One of my very favorite things is just walking and photographing all by myself. It's so relaxing and such a great break from school.
As I was driving to my Monet spot the same road has this beautiful fields and fence. I decided to just stop and walk to it. I loved the little stream and river. It's just gorgeous. There was a nice old man shoveling his driveway. He stopped to talk to me for a little while. He told me that all of the houses on the other side of the street were all going to be knocked down to build apartments. He's not very happy about it. He's lived in Rexburg his whole life. One of the houses is from after WWII. I feel kinda bad for the people that have always lived in Rexburg because it's changed so much. I really love it here so much! I don't think I could ever go anywhere else. I'm glad I could document this road looking just like this.
I'm SO grateful for these boots! Best $24 I've ever spent! They keep my feet dry and have tread so I won't slip on the ice!

I had to get the snow on the leaves too:)

This is my Monet spot.

This photo screams Christmas to me.

faith

Yesterday I came across this photo from my field trip. I love all of the rainbows in it and thought this quote from President Monson was perfect for it. I hope you're all having a relaxing Sunday!

happiness

This semester I'm taking an art theory 400 level class. It's actually better than I thought it would be. Who knew there were so many different meanings of art? All we do is read from a whole bunch of artist's like Aristotle, Plato, or Stieglitz. Sometimes I come across quotes I kinda like. Today I found the one above.
Yesterday I gave in and joined pinterest. I kept getting on it anyway so now people can pin my photo's!

Old Fashion Idaho

It's Friday! This week went by so fast. I changed my session give away. Go to my facebook to enter! You really don't want to miss out!
Here's my photo's from last week. In the basement of the Idaho Museum is this cute little old fashion town. The potato license plate and spud badge really made me laugh. My favorite was the old photography studio with a whole bunch of really old cameras.
Have a great weekend!

The fabric was only 11 cents! My mom would be in heaven!

It's a good day!

Today is such a good day! The weather is so nice and these leaves are finally yellow. I really love BYU-Idaho so much! I think we have to most beautiful campus. My favorite place is the BYU-I center. I don't think there's another place like it. There are a whole bunch of huge Carl Bloch paintings that are just beautiful.

King Tut Museum

This is my sister's last semester at BYU-Idaho so we're trying to do everything on her bucket list. Going to the King Tut Museum in Idaho Falls was one of them. It was pretty cool! My favorite part of the museum was actually the cool old fashion things in the basement. I'll put those photo's in a separate post. It was really cool to look at thing that are really really old.
 These are so pretty!

They stored organs in these. I think that's pretty crazy.

The perks of BYU-Idaho

For my natural disasters class we went on a field trip to the Teton Dam and Hebgin Lake. I would have loved to have been able to take more photo's. It's much more fun to go these places with my family. It was a quick trip. We were on the bus most of the time I wanted much more time to take photo's outside, but I did enjoy what I did get to see!
