Happy New Year's!

I cannot believe fast this year really went. It has really been one of the greatest years ever for me! I've made some of the greatest friends I've ever had. This year was full of trying new things, taking chances, and making life changing decisions a couple years earlier than I thought. I've had some of the greatest clients. I'm excited to see what this year brings. I hope to get my name out there more. I get to start the year with a wedding!
Here is a post of my most recent favorite photographs from 2012.

Seven months of the year I was photography manager for RecSports. It was the greatest experience. I'm so glad I had an opportunity to  branch out from what I normally photograph. I got to meet so many amazing people. You can find more of sports photo's here and here.

Winter

People who say winter is ugly don't look around. I love freshly fallen snow. "What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness." -John Steinbeck

My Christmas

I hope you all had an awesome Christmas! Mine was awesome. I always am sad when Christmas is over. There should be a fun Holiday in January. I'm photographing a wedding in January. I'm very excited for it!
I got a few camera's for Christmas. Remember how my old polaroid disappeared? Well I got one one above for Christmas. It looks like it might even work. My dad also gave me his film camera that is pretty much brand new. I'm really excited to play with it.
Hope you're all still enjoying your time with your family!:)

Rexburg Temple Wedding

This was such an awesome day. I love this couple so much. They're the most amazing people ever. The bride is one of my good friends. We were room roommates for two whole semesters. I lived with her when they met until right before they got engaged. It was so fun:)
I'm so happy for her! She has taught me so much. I'm so glad that I could be part of their day.

Merry Christmas!

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas! Spend time with the ones you love!

Temple Square is one of my favorite places! It's so beautiful!

Rexburg Temple also has this nativity. I like the wheat.

Things Change

I love BYU-Idaho so much. I learn and grow so much every semester. It's crazy to look back at the beginning of the semester. I've realized the things I wanted then is not what I want now. I've learned so much from new people I've met through my classes. There are so many awesome, genuine people here. I'm so grateful for all of the people I've met through my classes. I love it when you meet someone in a class and end up being great friends. They've taught me so much and they don't even know it. The photo below is of people who've made this semester so great. I'm so grateful for great friends!

BYU-Idaho is just awesome. I'm really going to miss: -my really good friend -constantly seeing nice, clean cut, and attractive guys;) -the indoor track and gym -having so many good cheap places to eat -Tuesday yoga nights. My favorite instructor is graduating next semester;( -the byui center -music outlet Mondays -always having cheap fun things to do on the weekends -being surrounded with people my age -having my sister up here with me

I'm going to miss so much, but being home and working will be good. I'm going to work on building my wedding portfolio. My dad and I are going to go on a photo expedition together! I'll get a break from school, I'll get to go to the Brigham Temple, and spend time with my family. I'll be in my nice clean home where dishes are never left to pile up in the sink. Brigham City is warmer than Rexburg! I get to sleep on a super comfy mattress where I can't feel wires poking through, and I don't have to wear ear plugs! Ha ha Before I know it I'll be back up here in Rexburg in a different apartment complex. It's so fun to move around and meet more people.

For part of my photography final we had to go to the same spot and take the exact same photograph twelve times. Claude Monet painted the exact same paintings with different coloring for different times of day. It's crazy how different every picture is.

Star Valley!

Last weekend I went to Star Valley for the first time it was so much fun! A perfect little break before finals week. It was seriously absolutely beautiful! The lighting was just like I see in paintings. There's something about fallen snow that is my favorite. The photos I take with freshly fallen snow seem to always be my favorite. Go here to see my favorite picture I've ever taken (it's the first one). I used it for my photography final. There really is something special about holding a photograph in your hands. In my class we got to try printing one photograph on some more expensive papers. The colors are so much more vibrant. I can't wait to get it back. I'm completely done with this semester! I took my last final today! I still can't really believe it. I won't be in school until April! I hope my winter semester at home goes by fast too.
