I'm back in Rexburg! The break was so nice. My family is pretty chill. Our break was pretty relaxing. I'm so glad I had a few extra days because it still flew by. The drive back up today was so pretty. We didn't get snowed on! The clouds were awesome. It's so warm. I'm hoping it will snow Friday morning. I'm so excited for my couples Christmas themed shoot Friday afternoon. I've been making plans in my head for a little while. Now I just have to make sure there's an outlet somewhere to plug in the Christmas lights. This week is going to be great! Only three weeks left of the semester so I have to fit everything in!

It's Christmas time!
I love this nativity that is out at Brigham City Temple. I think it's so beautiful. It was so nice to walk around the grounds and get to go inside.
I'm so grateful for all
of you that look at my blog. It really means so much to me that others
care to see what I care so much about. I want to tell you thank you! I
really do mean it.
He's a great model for me, that's why he continually shows up on my blog. He always lets me practice on him.

The Price Family
This family is so awesome! I love these sweet little girls and their pink! They were freezing. People always ask me what my favorite thing to photograph is. I really can't decide because I really love it all, but I think sessions where there's kids are my favorite. They're just so fun. I love the photo below. He's a great big brother.
To keep their feet from getting wet they got a piggy back ride. These are some of my favorites because they weren't even posed.

Family Photos
A few years ago I took Chelsea's senior portraits. It was fun to photograph such a large family. The largest I've photographed before was a family of five. They were great!

forward
This year I'm not really counting down for Christmas. In about three weeks my semester will be over and I'll have a break from school until April. This semester went way too fast. I love Rexburg so much. I'm trying to think of all the good things of living in Brigham. It should be a nice little break. I love my home. I will be going up to Rexburg lots of weekends and hopefully have some photo shoots.
There are lots of tips that say photographers should do personal posts on their blogs. I'm not so good at them. I sit down to type and end up deleting what I type over and over.

jumping the gun
Last night I got home for Thanksgiving! My sister had to go to Salt Lake so I decided to schedule photo shoots for this weekend. I'm missing a few of my classes on Monday and Tuesday. It worked out pretty well! There's just one test I have to make up after Thanksgiving. I was supposed to make it up before I left, but my teacher was sick. Luckily he's letting me take it after the break. He wanted me to take it Monday, but I'd rather photograph two families!
I took my brother to check out one of the locations I'm using tomorrow. Every time I see him he's taller. It's crazy. Looking back at these pictures he looks so little. When I was little I was a big tease my parents would always tell me "someday he'll be bigger than you". Now he's almost five inches taller than me! He'll be sixteen in three months. He's counting down the days.
It's so great to be home with my family! The Holiday's are my favorite.
Not only do I jump the gun for Thanksgiving break, but we got our Christmas tree out tonight!

Still Life
Normally I don't set up oranges or jewelry and take pictures of them, but we had to take still life photographs. I was originally going use my antique Polaroid camera as the subject, but when I went to get it off my shelf about two weeks ago it wasn't there. It's still no where to be found. I'm quite sad about it, but at least I did take lots of pictures with it! Instead since I have a presentation on Iran I took picture's of my sisters jewelry that she got from Iran. I sprinkled rice on it since they eat lots of rice in Iran. It's nice when I can combine two school assignments!
I still have a few session available in Brigham City! I'll be in Brigham November 16th-24th! Email me to schedule an appointment. kayliephotography@yahoo.com
I like how you can see me taking a picture of it in the glass. Today I tried again. These oranges are the best ones I've had in a long time. |
